Grantmaking from the Spartanburg County Foundation
The president of QMX Mobile Health/ Quality Mobile X-Ray, Inc., since 2014, Caleb Fort works with the director of operations to oversee radiographers and sonographers in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities throughout North Carolina. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Caleb Fort has held leadership positions with community organizations such as the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the Spartanburg County Foundation.
Established in 1943 to address key needs in the local area, the Spartanburg County Foundation partners with individuals, businesses, and nonprofits to cultivate change and fulfill charitable goals. The foundation operates two annual grantmaking cycles to provide funding for nonprofit and tax-exempt entities, particularly those working to address needs in the areas of education and social environment. Funding priority is given to collaborative projects among several organizations, as well as to organizations with the availability of continued funding from other sources. Recent grant recipients include GoForth Recovery, which provides housing for men recovering from addiction, and Girls on the Run Spartanburg, which helps young girls develop healthy habits and life skills.
